The Knights completed a strong showing at the 2001 Wendy’s Classic
by winning 5 out of 6 of their final round bouts. The Knights had two
individual CHAMPIONS: 140# BRAD MARZEC and 215# NICK NIGEM. Six Knights placed in the top six and as a team the Knights
finished 5th out of a field of eighteen teams including: Toledo
Central Catholic, Cleveland St. Ignatius, Perkins, Celina, Groveport Madison,
Tiffin Columbian, Lancaster, Whitmer, Fremont Ross, Lexington, Upper Sandusky,
Elida, Lima Shawnee, Maysville, Sylvania Southview, Swanton, Toledo Libbey. The
knights garnered 25 individual victories and competed in 45 matches.
